In addition to writing fiction, I volunteer at my local community radio station, KBOO.FM. I host a program called Between the Covers which airs every third Thursday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Pacific Time. It’s a program dedicated to books, writers, and all things writing related. Below are some recent author interviews.

This is an interview I did with musician and author Willy Vlautin. He was gracious enough to spend a little time with me talking about music mostly, and writing. Since this is my author page, I have included the writing stuff here. The Night Always Comes is the title of one of his books and was recently released as a feauture film on Netflix.

Writers! Do you want to know if your characters are dying or suffering the right way? Would a blow to the head with a blunt object take someone out, or just give them a headache? Can someone bounce back from a coma to make it to their wedding on time? Click on the button below for an interview with Natalie Dale. Natalie is a physician turned writer. After struggling with bipolar disorder, she decided to leave medicine and focus on her long-time passion: writing. She is the author of the Writers’ Guide to Medicine, a trilogy of books dedicated to helping writers accurately describe setting, injuries, and illnesses.

She is the author of two non-fiction books, The Lives of Museum Junkies-the story of America’s Hands-On Education Movement, and Over the Peanut Fence, about her experience trying to get a homeless youth off the streets. Her latest book is a work of fiction, The Water Factor, an eco-thriller about a small group of activists fighting against corporate crime.
