In addition to writing fiction, I volunteer at my local community radio station, KBOO.FM. I host a program called Between the Covers which airs every third Thursday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Pacific Time. It’s a program dedicated to books, writers, and all things writing related. What is it like to have your book banned?
New York Times bestselling author Jonathan Evison. Jonathan is the author of multiple novels including All About Lulu, The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving, and The Heart of Winter. His novel Lawn Boy was the target of censorship in 2022. According to the American Library Association, it was seventh-most banned and challenged book in the country due to its inclusion of LGBT+ content and being sexually explicit.
